Owner was rude and Employee was unsanitary.. I will never return to this place.

My experience with Kathy’s Nails was not pleasant at all. The owner and nail techs are unprofessional and does not practice cleanliness.

The nail tech who did my nails rushed the whole time and when a walk-in arrived,

She had them sit and she would try to work on 2 and 3 people at the same time.

The nail tech ( Nicky) did not seem to be sanitary either, when it was time to wash my hands she just wiped my hands off with her hands instead of me washing them off at the sink.

When I questioned her on this she just mumbled something in her own language, and when I asked her again she would not respond but she rushed even faster to finish me up. I was not happy about this especially when I was scheduled to be there. The very next day one of my nails cracked and when I returned, the owner was there and she acted very rude. I tried to explain to her about the crack in my nail but she refused to listen and would not let me speak to the nail tech that worked on me. I will never go back to this place and I will not recommend anyone to Kathy’s Nail salon.





My first experience here at this nail salon was good. However, when I went back for the second time it was disappointing to say the least. I had made an appointment to get my nails done with Nicky. As she was doing my nails a walk-in came in, and Nicky started to rush to finish with me. The first time I was there she asked me to go wash my hands after she finished drilling my nails, but this time she just used her hands to wiped off the acrylic dust off my hands then started to paint them. I asked her if I should have gone to wash my hands, Nicky just mumbled something in her language, but when I asked her again she simply did not answer this time. After she finished with me, she went to work on the walk-in. She didn’t even wash her hands. According to the Board of Cosmetology, a nail tech is to go wash their hands after they finished working on each patron. This rule is to keep each patron and nail technician safe possible contamination. This clearly was not practiced at Kathy’s Nails.

The very next day after I had just got my nails done, one of them cracked straight across. Each one of my nails had little bubbles in them, and the nails were not smooth. I believe the little bubbles were the result of not being able to wash my hands after the service, and the smoothness was caused by nail tech rushing and not taking her time to smooth them.

This is upsetting to me because I felt that I did my part by going to get my nails fill every two weeks and made an appointment with the nail salon so they can reserve the proper amount of time to do a fill and not just rush me off. When I went back to get my nails fixed, the nail tech was busy so the owner spoke with me. When I showed her my cracked nail, she got upset and started to be rude to me, she shouted at me, “what do you want?!” When I tried to tell her, she didn’t even give me a chance to speak. She would not let me speak to the nail tech neither. I was very upset and disappointed at their customer service that I had to leave the salon immediately.

The experience I got from Kathy’s Nails was extremely horrible. They do not practice cleanliness nor good customer service. Please be aware of these before you make a visit there. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this place to anyone.
