This review should be no stars, but the program does not allow that rating. We bought mulch from Synders last year. We were very pleased with the price and quality. This year we bought a small amount to edge beds and add to enlarged beds around new trees. We were horrified to see the next day burned grass, burned newly planted lavender. A red bud seedling may be dying. Obviosly the mulch had not be handled correctly and had developed toxins. We stopped by to show them photos of the burn. The owner remained in his chair, declared they warn all customers to not put the mulch near plants (??????) because the temperature of the mulch is 153 degrees. We have never been told that and would wonder where does one put the mulch, if not around plants. If they had apologized, thanked us for the information, we would consider continuing to use their products. Instead, after being treated in such a cavalier manner, we will never patronize them again.
