Wawa, located in Wawa, Pa., is a privately held company that owns and operates more than 500 gas/convenience stores in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. 'Wawa' is a Lenni Lenape Indian word for the Canada goose that was found in the Delaware Valley.
