The frustration started with my first visit and continued until my last, with a total of three asinine, waste of my time and gas trips into town. Every time I went in they needed my urine. I thought I was seeing a clinic for pain control not the parole department, they are more interested in you pissing in a cup then helping you with your pain. The control issues seemed like Hitler's Germany from the front desk to the Doctor I never saw. Stay far away from this horrible place. It's not about helping the patient. However, they do hand out healthy doses of frustration while watching their unprofessional ethics.

No wonder this place has such bad reviews. I was warned by others not to go there. But seeing how they are close by and I have trouble getting around I went and filled out their application. was told they would get back to me next day (Friday) or next Monday. it took them a week before I got a call saying they didn't want to take me. I'm outraged. I have chronic pain from a rollover accident 15 years ago. I have proof of my condition and have had no problem with other Doctor's in the past. I have no history of drug abuse but felt that I was being treated like a dope fiend. maybe it was my tattoos. There are other places to give your money to.

This md will not be there when you need him. I know because he put me in the most horrific experience of my life. Withdrawals. I am warning you he is not compassionate. Its is a money making facility. They see hundreds of patients a week and make tons of money off people suffering. Please seek help somewhere else. I know I have lived thru the pain and I would not want anyone else to experience.

I had been from one Dr. after another trying desperatly to get some real relief from my horrible pain. I had a very bad fall in 1994 when I fell down a flight of 15 stairs in a old victorian home that was straight down! My spine was damaged as well as my neck, hip, & legs. I was told by the Dr. that operated on my knees that I could never work again!!! I was told that I needed to go in a wheel chair for the rest of my life to save what I had left of my walking.Since then I had been on so many drugs, that were perscribed by different Drs. I was very frightened from all of this. Then my kidney Dr. sent me to Dr. Johnston. Him & Emily as well as Nancy, are just wonderful. They work together & with me, I have'nt felt this good since before my fall. I Thank God every day of my life for them & their knowledge that he has given them,I am not in my wheel chair!! Some days are hard but most are pretty good & very special to me & my family. Thank you for being there for me!! Mrs. Courtright

First off, I'll say that the staff at Pain Specialists of SO have been nice. Nice is not their problem. It's their extreme lack of concern for their patients, their lack of attention to details, and their inability to follow up on procedures performed and requested by their office. And you can just forget about getting an appt within a reasonable amount of time. I did manage to get as far as having injections into my back by Dr. Johnston. And if I hadn't spoke up on the table, they wouldn't have done the procedure as agreed. Then, before the date of my follow up appt, I was in a car accident. PS of SO canceled my followup appt & scheduled a new one for me to see Dr. Johnston "3 MONTHS LATER". I thought car accidents warranted a little more urgency than that. Dr. Johnston ordered an x-ray at that appt, never bothered to followup on the results & then tried to blame the hospital. All he had to do was view it online. This was the WORST doctor experience of my life!!
