Our home is now beautifully landscaped thanks to the diligence and creativity of Karen Marshall. Karen was instrumental in all aspects of the project from the original design, to the planting of every last flower. She coordinated efforts between the plant suppliers, the landscaper, and the hardscape suppliers. She is very knowledgeable and consulted us on plant selection (dog-safe, non-poisonous ), esthetics, colors, shapes and sizes. She made special efforts to ensure we got interesting and unique variations of plants and trees. It was important to us to not overload the landscape. Her vision was for years to come and everything is filling in beautifully. Karen assisted in the design and placement of huge basalt earth crystals for our water feature. Karen was very professional throughout the project and in many cases went above and beyond the call of duty. We are thrilled with the outcome!

We moved to Ashland from Seattle last year and had no idea which plants and yard design would work in this climate. A friend recommended we meet with Karen Marshall. Her knowledge of plants and her artistic eye helped transform a very bland quarter acre yard into a flowing, peaceful garden delight. Thanks Karen!

Karen Marshall did a comprehensive landscape design and oversaw implementation of the entire plan for my lot. Nearly all plants other than trees were removed and we had an almost blank slate to work with. We had productive dialogues, with Karen listening attentively to my thoughts and educating me on relevant garden considerations. Her expertise, appreciation of aesthetics and practicality were evident. On a personal note, it was an especially difficult and stressful time in my life, as my husband was very ill. I experienced tremendous empathy from Karen throughout our time working together. The process was creative and joyful for me and the results were outstanding. Karen cared deeply that my landscaping was what I truly wanted, and she paid great attention to details to ensure that happened--including excellent supervision of the people putting in the irrigation system and plantings. I have happily referred Karen and will continue to do so.

My wife and I have known Karen Marshall, owner of Naturescape Designs since 2006. We first had her consult with us while our house was under construction on an undeveloped 5 acre hillside. She has provided us with several landscape designs for different stages and different areas of our property. She is knowledgeable and creative and we have always been pleased with her work and service. We have also gotten various plants from her and her recommendations for various contractors and installers.She has always been friendly and responsive to us and realistic with us about our aspirations for our landscape. Her prices have been fair and reasonable, and she has been a pleasure to work with. We will continue to use her services, and will continue to recommend her to others.

I feel this individual violated her position of trust and authority as a professional .I hired her to critique the design I put together, what I got was a completely different design of her inspiration. I thought, "Okay, she is the professional l'll follow her down this road and see where it goes." When I told her I preferred to go back to my original design she complained that I was difficult yet agreed to credit back hours for design time ill spent then continued to push her design and failed to answer my most pressing questions.I feel I spent $800.00 to engage in a tug of war - and lost. If I hire and pay someone to do a job he/she agrees to do then regardless of what they think of my proposal they should do what they were paid for.
