So happy Dr. Johnson bought this practice. Many changes and improvements have been made in the last few year. I think they finally got the premium staff to care for their patients

Dr. Johnston is the best and his staff are amazing!

Dental Excellence has been the best dentist office I have ever have gone to. I have never been to a dentist that I was more comfortable in. Dr. Johnson and his staff are very professional, from the front desk to his awesome assistants. With the IV sedation they offer it makes dentistry fearless.

Happy Patient

I have had several very bad dental experiences in my life, from not being numb during a root canal to having my lip cut during a procedure. Needless to say, I've been apprehensive to get anything done. The time had come to find a dentist that really could help me with my needs. I looked for an office that really knew what TLC was and I found it with dental excellence. Dr. Johnson was very upfront with the state of my mouth and the process I would have to go through in order to be able to use my chompers again. The bill part was a little terrifying, but the girl in the front helped me apply for carecredit to make smaller payments. All in all a great experience and I couldn't recommend them more.

I had a horrible experience with Dental Excellence. In December of 2011 I had 2 root canals and a crown done at Dental Excellence. Never fun but what they put me through was and still is short of unprofessional. First off waiting to get in once you have checked in will be at least ½ hour so make that adjustment in your day. Then on these last visits, I didn’t even see my doctor. I am a patient of Dr. Schmidt and not Dr. Anderson or Dr. Tudor or whoever else they get to cover. The fact is Dr. Schmidt retired a year ago or so and these yahoos have been running the show.

OK so then I get to the chair and it’s another 15 minutes before I see the doctor (this time it was Tudor) and he gives me a local and says he will be right back. 45 minutes later he shows up and starts to put the splash barrier on that he can’t get right and soaks me. Maybe it was because he couldn’t stop flirting with the intern that had no experience at all and giggled like my teenage daughter. OK, they start drilling and after about 15 minutes he has to go attend to another patient. So he leaves come back and does this for about an hour. Until I can’t take the pain anymore because the anesthetics have worn off. He gives me some more anesthetics (first time I’ve been re-dosed in a dental procedure) so he can put a temp filling in to go at it again in two days to “finish the job”. This is the only root canal I have had done that I needed pain meds after the nerves had supposedly been killed. The crown never sat right and I still have pain in that tooth. I could go on and on but here is the happy ending I get. So after all is said and done I get a bill in February saying I owe $1,400.00 and they had billed both my insurances so that was my part. Hu’’the front office ran me over my limit of benefits. They rushed me in to have two root canals and a crown in 1 months time so that I would “use all my benefits and not waste them”. Then woops they screwed up, I am ultimately responsible but they advised me the wrong way. I would have been happy happy, happy to wait another month to have the second one done. So the end is I ask for relief of some of the bill not at all they say shove it and I’m stuck.

I had a horrible experience with Dental Excellence. I can’t believe they have that name they are far from excellent and shouldn’t be dentist. In 2011 I had 2 root canals and a crown. They dropped the ball in the front office and in the chair.
