They were hired to move my condo from Florida to Massachusetts. Marc was nice as pie over the phone and very reassuring. Come the move day I was scheduled for 11am - 3pm they called that they would be little late. Then around 5:30 got another call they were looking for the street. After being disconnected I got a call back at 7pm. The movers showed up after 7pm. Upon arriving they now said they couldn't pull their truck into the street of my condo complex beause of a hanging tree branch. The movers were talking about extra money before they even got in the door. They wanted to carry all of my furniture including all my glass tables down the road and around the corner to the truck in the dark.

Then they said they would come back in the morning instead but that they still would not come down the street and would still need to carry my entire belongings down the street around the corner. I was really insistent that they pull their truck into the street since 18 months prior when I moved to Florida Atlas Van Lines parked their truck (which much larger) at my door step!!

After this ordeal which had so many questionable actions:



1) The mover subcontracted another in FL (wasn't informed this would be the case).

2) They showed up 4 hours passed the latest time they had given me.

3) They wanted to charge me more money for additional work carrying the furniture.

4) The movers who did show up where less than professional

5) The manager of the moving company (who I didn't have a contract with but his movers where at my door) was rude over the phone and said he was not going to let the truck come down the street. He said if I didn't let them do the job he would make sure I never got the deposit back. DEPOSIT $800.00.



I disputed the credit card charge and FATHER & SON had the audicity to write a letter full of fabrications to the credit card company.



I WILL BE REPORTING THIS TO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL.
