My wife and I did a lot of consumer research on the Dyson Models. After reading on line all the great consumer reviews of how people who bought it, used and loved it spoke so highly of it's great cleaning ability and no bags to deal with It came time to buy so we always saw the ads for the store in the local paper and decided to visit. Upon entering the store and speaking with the female associate at the Mechanicsburg location she very quickly informed us rudely of her dislike for the vacuum before we even had a chance to look at the models they had. So we persisted and looked at the Dyson models as well as the Riccar (made in the USA) model they really push there. We didn't like the Riccar it was big, bulky and aesthetically very unappealing!! She sarcastically mentioned "They love Dyson" as she pointed to the service hall way with about 10-12 machines for various repair of sorts?? I asked her how many they sell she said they sell A LOT more Dyson to Riccar. So i asked couldn't it be a numbers issue then as your selling alot more so there is a higher probability that more are going to need repair? She rudely confirmed i could be correct. My wife and I bought the Dyson 41, $500+ with the tax. Love the cleaning and maneuverability of the machine. We had one of the plastic wheels fall off with in the first couple of days of ownership no big deal took it back dealt with the owner (male) who was even more rude then his female associate. Said how it didn't surprise him Dyson is junk they put all their money into advertising and suction not quality parts! WOW! What a way to portray professionalism in your own store and to a customer who just dropped over $500 there. He ordered the part and I kept my mouth shut barely! Went back to get the part a few weeks later and the same guy (Owner) said as i was walking into the store "Oh no here comes another DYSON!" in front of other customers none the less. after getting to counter and figuring out he ordered the wrong part he says "Typical Dyson sending the wrong part, I hate dealing with them"! I have had enough i confront this man who later reveals he is the owner of the store about the most unprofessional display on his behalf as well as his female coworker that i have ever experienced. He gets irate with me saying he doesn't understand why I'm upset with him and not the company for there product. I told him I am happy with the product best vacuum hands down i have ever owned!! I am disgusted with him and how he can represent his own business the way he does! Makes his customers feel belittled and bad mouth a brand he sells and advertises!! He tells me if i don't like it i can take the vacuum and go to another repair center because for a two hour repair job under warranty from DYSON he only gets $8! I would highly recommend not to buy anything from this business!! They WILL take your money, they WILL make you feel like an idiot for buying what you like and not what they like and as far as service after the sale well that is where the problem lies folks ....he said it he doesn't like repairing Dyson. Big FAIL to Discount Vacuum & Sewing Center!! Go else where to by your Vacuums and Sewing Machines. Dyson is a great vacuum. This place is a horrible Retail dealer!!!
