We hired Christian Brothers Concrete to pour a stamped and stained patio in our back yard. Throughout the estimate process the owner, Rodger Clark, was easy to work with and we felt comfortable with him. We scheduled a patio pour the following week. His team came out on time and removed grass, capped sprinklers and set up forms on time. We did have some weather roll in and out of Dallas over the next 2 months but the concrete did not get poured until the end of the time frame. At least 5 times they said that they would be out the following day and they never showed up. My wife and I had to keep calling for updates. Sometimes they would show up and do some work, leave, and not tell us that they were leaving or when they would be back. Rodger's lead man, Richard, is extremely unreliable and flaky. Finally, the concrete was poured nearly two months late. They left, came back the next day and stained it. Richard missed several spots while staining, you could see a glossy area right next to a dull one. When the forms were pulled off there was an extremely rough and ugly finish to the concrete. I called Richard and complained and he again put off the issue. We had several things on our patio (lawn furniture, BBQ, etc...) and he kept saying he would be there the next day so we would move everything off the patio and he wouldn't show up. After a couple of weeks I told Richard very firmly that I expect the work be completed ASAP. I followed up with a phone call to Rodger and told him my very firm expectations as my patience was completely worn out. Richard did restain the concrete and he did a half cocked job of smoothing out the edges but it in no way looks anywhere near the pictures on their website. When Richard showed up to do the final work he told my wife that I was rude to him and said please don't leave a bad review. Too late.



The saga continued on 5/24 when I received a letter from the concrete supplier that Christian Brothers used to deliver the concrete. They said that they were giving notice that a mechanics lien would be placed on my home because Christian Brothers failed to pay their bill. I called Rodger and demanded that this be addressed by Tuesday the 27th. It was sort of addressed and I needed more information which was provided Wednesday.



I cannot think of a scenario where I would ever recommend these guys.

I would give this company a Zero star if I could! Very unprofessional, liars and poor workmanship. We have had to stay in a hotel and with family because they left our house in such a mess and used a toxic sealant that is not safe to breathe. The sealant was poured so thick it puddled and dried permanently. They refused to repair cracked concrete that they just poured 2 days prior. The project manager Richard was Very unprofessional and spoke to myself and his workers in a derogatory manner. His boss Roger refused to take ownership for the faults or ensure that the problems would be fixed. I could go on and on. Simply put, do Not do not use this company for any service you may need! You will regret!!!
