North Vermilion High School, established in 1980, is located in Maurice, La. The school was formed as a result of a merger between Meaux High School and Maurice High School. The school houses more than 750 students in grades seven through 12. It provides membership for various clubs, such as art club, the Future Farmers of America, the Future Business Leaders of America and French club. The school organizes various sports activities that include football, basketball, golf, baseball, tennis, cheerleading, track, softball and wrestling. It operates through various academic departments, including foreign languages, math, science, social studies, English and physical education. North Vermilion High School is governed by Vermilion Parish Schools, which also governs various other elementary, middle and high schools.
