poor customer service

We were at the Mason Bowling Alley on Saturday. When we first got there a young girl started getting our shoes and she told us it did not cost for the baby to bowl because she was only 2. Then this man came over and took over like she was stupid. He was very rude to us. Not friendly and scowling look on his face. We started bowling and noticed the little alligator that the kids could use to roll their balls down so we got it. All other bowling alleys gave these alligators and do not charge.
This rude man comes down and says "hey, you have to pay for that". He had his hands on his hips and was a real jerk about it. I went up to pay. The thing was 8 dollars. That is pretty expensive. How about putting a sign on it with the price? Once we had already started using it we were not going to take it away from the kids. Had we known they wanted that much we would never have gotten it. We bowled 8 frames and then our lane stopped working. We went to tell them about it and the rude man said that since we did nit pay for the baby we did not get to pay all 10 frames. I have never heard if such a thing.
The bowling balls had chips in them. They only had 1 that was a six pounder for the kids The music was not kid friendly; it had a lot of cussing and was very very loud.
We will NEVER go back to this bowling alley again.

Pricing is high on food and drink. I think it does, compared to other bowling places. Beer and liquor way much, but people will pay.

Other than that ok

Like the previous review, if you are not a regular evidently you are treated very poorly. We gathered my family up to take my kids bowling as a reward for their excellent work at school and when we got there on a Saturday afternoon that they have leagues and we cannot bowl until after 9:30PM. That is fine, I understand bowling alleys have leagues, I just moved here from Georgia and there the leagues usually weren't during the weekends though when families would come to bowl. I then tried again on a Friday evening after work with my family...same thing turned away because they do not do open bowling until after 9. WHEN does a bowling alley actually have time for families to bowl other than ONE day on a sunday...I really am failing to understand the logic behind this unless this location is so busy that they do not need the business. Usually leagues are done during the week because that is when traffic is slowest...I guess they would rather have no cars in the parking lot monday thru thursday and be booked on the weekends.

Like being a kid

So when you read the sign and then later recieved the "gift", you didn't put it away, you just waited to see if they would see if the rule applies? Seriously, its like having a kid sneak something behind a parents back and see if they get into trouble. Think about it. As a business that sells food, is it wise to let people to bring in food? I don't think so. You will find that at any business. Why should they give a warning.
