Dr. Timothy Allen Gibbons is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with over 15 years of experience providing state-of-the-art care at Mason City Clinic since 1995. He is a previous Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Reserves Medical Corps, for which he received a Bronze Star and commendation. Dr. Gibbons graduated with a Bachelors degree in Animal Science at the Iowa State University College of Agriculture, before completing his medical degree at the University of Iowa College of Medicine. After graduating, he completed a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch, and then chose to further advance his training through a fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine at the University of Iowa. In addition to his extensive training and practice tenure, Dr. Gibbons also remains active within the field of orthopedics through his membership in several professional organizations, including: American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons Cerro Gordo County Medical Society Iowa Medical Society Iowa Orthopedic Society Veterans of Foreign Wars He has participated in several research studies published in leading orthopedic journals, and also held elected positions such as previous Vice President and President Elect of the Iowa Orthopedic Society, and current member of the Mason City Ambulatory Surgical Center Board.
