Yet another Christmas that these guys have helped me out with a gift. Professional, fast service and perfect every time. Don't go anywhere else for your window tint or your radios!

Radioactive is the cheapest place around Maryville and Knoxville to have custom work done to your car i had my windows tinted and they look good. Excellence

These guys are great, and their new tinter did a perfect job on my civic, I'd highly recommend them. And their installer did a system for me not too long ago, I can't remember his name but he has a larger than normal head, haha, he's great, my system hits hard

My first experience with Radio...

My first experience with Radioactive's tinting was miserable!!! March 2012 I called to set up an appointment and was told by staff the price 195.00 for all windows and band and would take about an hour to complete. Expecting an hour wait time I didn't feel the need to set up an alternative ride to pick me up. As I arrived at Noon (my appointment time) my car wasn't finished till after 2:30. Unknowingly anything about window tint I assumed there would be more than one working on the tint but there was only one guy. After I paid cash and left, I noticed several wrong cuts on the passenger window, the eye band mirror cut was jagged and wide. The rear window had several creases in the tint film. I called the store as I got home and told them about the mistakes and was to advised to bring the car back in. Due to school I was not able to print the car back till a month later and also allowing time for the water and bubbles to work themselves out. This week when I returned with my car Shaun the owner and I looked over the tint and I showed him all the the places and they were very helpful with replacing the window with notch missing and jagged cuts. The eye band cut around the mirror that was jagged and too widely cut but was still only trimmed (to make an even line) adding more to the unsightly appearance as before. When I mentioned this to the owner Shaun he said it look like a quality job to him and would not replace it. I asked him about the rear window, he said the creases in the window tint was just water and would flatten out, as for the uneven chopped up cuts around the rear window defrost and the large crease near the top of the window were not necessary to fix. I was then explained that this was a custom job and it can't be perfect and that I was being to picky. I then told Shaun the owner I paid full price not under the contingency of I get what they give me or what happens happens. I paid for quality and "perfect". After going round and round Shaun agreed to do the band over. The back window he would keep an eye on to see if the creases flattened out. Before taking my car back for the the eye band replacement I took it to a few other tinting shops to get their opinion on the creases and was it just water? They all said no, creases didn't flatten out in the center of the tint, maybe on the edges but not the tint. I dropped my car off at radioactive this morning to replace the band and talk to Shaun about the back window cause I still wasn't satisfied with the work the "new guy" did. As I returned to pick up my car the eye band looked really good, just how it should've been in the first place, there was still water and bubbles but no creases. Asking about the rear window and telling him the opinions of other tint shops. I made him aware that I could get the rear window tint removed and replaced for 76.00 at a reputable tint shop. Shaun said he'd like to be done with me as a customer because I was so picky and nothing was going to please me. He advised me to wait out the few weeks to see what the rear window would do. I wasn't going to wait it out since I had it done in March. The final straw came down to me asking him to re tint y window or pay the 76 so I could take it else where, he did neither. I refused to settle with that and he offered 35 for me to never come back. It eventually ended with me taking 40 and losing all warranty on workmanship on my windows other than the eye band. In my opinion this man cares nothing about standing behind his employees work nor his own. Its a shame I paid full price for less than half the work and to be talk down to because I was a woman customer who they assumed didn't know any better and would just go along with whatever they said.

From the owner there motto is " YOU JUST PAID FOR TINT!" no quality, no respect!

I am now having taking my vehicle to Lenoir City's SMOKY MOUNTAIN TINTING so they can fix their mistakes.

Well Sarah, as I tried to explain to you while you were in my store, there's no such thing as a perfect tint, especially on a 15+ year old car with pits in the windows and old seals. We did our best to satisfy you short of re-tinting your entire vehicle, I made the judgement call that no matter how many windows we re-tinted for you that you would be impossible to make happy. That's why I went against our strict policy of no refunds, and refunded a portion of your money. This refund wasn't given because your tint wasnt acceptable, it was given to save us both time and money as you expected a "perfect tint because you paid full price" as you put it. As you see by the majority of our reviews, our customers are typically happy with the quality of our work... And your comment about being a female customer is completely unfounded and quite immature. I wish you the best with smoky mountain tinting, I'm sorry I couldnt keep your business

Quality work

I went in there about a year ago and they gave me a package deal! I got tint, double din pioneer 3300bt, 2 10' pr in a ported box installed for an low price compared to where I had priced checked before hand. They dropped my car off to me at work for a small fee. The install was well done and service was excellent. Shaun is a very knowledgable man, Cassie does a wonderful job with cutting vinyls, tanner is fast and informative when asked questions, Mike did a fantastic job on my tint (unfortunately he has since then left). If you want a good price, good customer service, and informative people working on your vehicle then I would call them. If you guys read this thank you very much! 2005 Altima

I have been having my car work...

I have been having my car worked on by these guys for a while. I am pretty savvy when it comes to car audio myself but its nice to sit back and let someone else do the hard work if the price is right.

to the guy with the ONLY bad review.... A line out converter simply takes a signal meant for a normal speaker and converts it into a signal that an amplifier and subs can process.... Can you really expect superior quality from a converter??? Thats why you fork out an extra $150 bucks for a cheapo decent radio and get a REAL signal. IT ALL COMES DOWN TO: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!!!!
