War Memorial Park offers a range of recreational opportunities. It features a rest room and more than 15 tables. The facility can accommodate up to 16 guests. War Memorial Park is a part of Martinsburg Parks and Recreation, which operates various playgrounds. The board maintains a gymnastics facility, gymnasiums and swimming pools. It generates funds through programs, leagues, special events, and private and corporate sponsorships. The board provides more than 30 instructional programs and organizes summer camps. It also maintains Lambert Park, Ambrose Park, Hedgesville Park and Poor House Farm Park. The board manages a staff of more than 10 full-time employees.
