My wife and I signed a one year contract with Jump in with Us ($15 per month) so that our son could enjoy the facility. When I was getting details about the agreement, I made sure that the contract would not automatically renew and was told it wouldn't.

As another reviewer mentioned, it is clean. The air-filled houses, slides, etc. are all modern and new looking, with no problems. The large room is quite loud, but I think that's to be expected, as large fans constantly run to keep them filled with air.

We stopped visiting early on in our one year contract because our son no longer wanted to go there, probably because there were rarely any other children playing there when we would visit. He was bored of playing with just his mom and dad at the gym. So for months, we were paying for the membership without going there, eventually letting the membership expire.

When I checked my credit card statement, I noticed my card was charged for 3 extra months past the one year period. I e-mailed to make them aware of this, and asked for them to stop charging my card and to refund the 3 extra months that was charged. They said they could not refund the three months because the membership automatically renews unless I was to cancel in person. I called and spoke to someone about this, reminding them they had told me at the beginning if the membership would not automatically renew. She said it is written in the contract that it automatically renews. I reminded her that I specifically asked about this detail when I signed up and that I was assured, verbally, in person, that it would not.

It ends up that I am out $45 for three months of non-use, even after my one year agreement had been completed. I think this is a dishonest policy, to verbally tell a customer their one year contract will not renew, and then sign them to an auto-renewable contract. Needless to say, I will no longer support Jump in with Us.

My five-year-old daughter recently attended a birthday party here. She has celiac disease, and as I do for most parties, I either bring gluten-free pizza or order gluten-free pizza delivery from a local establishment so that my child can eat warm pizza and celebrate with the other party-goers. My understanding now is that this establishment does not allow birthday party hosts to provide outside food (just birthday cake only). The owners have made arrangements with a local pizzeria to provide pizza for all birthday parties on the premises; the major issue here is that this pizzeria does not have gluten-free options. I understand that not many restaurants are gluten-friendly, but surely the owners of Jump In With Us did not expect I would let my daughter sit at the lunch table with just a juice box while the other kids ate pizza and cake?...should I have taken her into the snow-covered parking lot to feed her there? After a discussion with the owner, I was given the "okay" to bring in my own gluten-free pizza for my daughter, however I was APALLED to learn later that the owners attempted to charge the party hosts for my "contraband" pizza. This is shameful; especially for the price they are charging for parties at their venue (I agree with a prior reviewer that their fees are set way ABOVE what other, even-better, venues have set for birthday parties). I have had plenty of children's parties and have been to many birthday parties in the MetroWest area over the last five years, and never have I encountered this issue. To the owners of JIWU Marlborough: given the rise in celiac disease/gluten-intolerance diagnoses, I highly suggest you look into working with a pizzeria that provides gluten-free pizza or other gluten-friendly options. At the very least, be kinder and willing to "bend the rules" for children with food allergies without repercussions for the party hosts and/or attendee's parent(s). I am certain that within your business model that patron SATISFACTION and FUN are key in running your business. I am sure you already know the value of what birthday parties bring to your business...new customers bring more business and more parties! With the amount of children playspaces and inflatable indoor playgrounds popping up all over MetroWest, a bad attitude over a child's illness and/or dietary restriction can only hurt you.
