Why are they so sexist and condescending in this place? Gimme a break, it's hard enough being a girl already without their shenans all the time.



My dad used to take us here but it's gone down down down and just become a creepy and unpleasant place. It's a downer of a store. Why are they still in business?

Great selection of items that aren't specifically available anywhere else in town. Love the dog food prices as we can't find Blue Diamond cheaper anywhere in town. While limited, Big R also has some of the best values of hardware and outside nursery supplies in town. Sufficient customer service that has always met my needs and questions. Don't forget the bulk candy and ammo either!!! :)

Stay away! Atrocious customer service. They'll insult you with a smile and be proud of it. They sell used merchandise as new!



Over the years I'd visit Big R every now and then and found their prices to be competitive. However, the sore spot has always been employee training, customer service and responsiveness to customers.



Today I purchased a battery for a scooter (small battery that comes in a box). Exchanged the core for the old battery and left. Arrived home and opened the box to find a used battery. Drove right back to the store, walked up to the same counter and clerk that has sold me the battery only minutes earlier. They refused a refund or exchange and said there was "no way to verify what was in the box when you left the store".



I couldn't find a sign that indicated the need to open and inspect all merchandise before leaving the store. It's not the $20 that the battery cost that irks me, it's the crappy customer service and their insults.



They way they handled the situation and insulted me, fairly clearly shows their customer attitude. I won't ever walk into a Big R again and will live a much happier life!

This is the worst experience I've ever had with a retailer. The associates are NOT helpful and the managers are horrible. I purchased a pool there and due to a defect I wanted to return it. The first trip I waited fro 20 minutes for a manager to help and due to having other errands I left without any assistance. The second trip I was told to deal with the manufacturer which I called and was told I would have to return the pool where purchased as the manufacturer only deals with warranty and since I wanted my money back the store would have to take care of it. Third trip I forced the shift manager to call the manufacturer himself and he still tried to refuse my refund until he finally realized I was not going anywhere without my money. I will NEVER shop this Marion store again as the employees are rude and the manager I dealt with is not any better.
