Tekpak is a privately held packaging products company. The company produces and co-packs food, consumer, medical and industrial products. Tekpak s specialties include spiral wound paper containers, tubular products, food and consumer products packaging and paper-based disposable medical devices. Its customers include companies that serve the United States' national and regional drug and grocery chains, private-label distributors, pharmaceutical, home and garden and industrial product manufacturers. Tekpak's Marion, Ala., plant has 180,000 square feet of climate-controlled manufacturing and warehousing space. The company was founded as Ames Bag more than 50 years ago and has operated under the names Compack South and Niemand Industries. Tekpak acquired Niemand Industries in 2000.
