Wharo Korean BBQ is one of the first Americanized Korean barbecue restaurants in Los Angeles. The restaurant serves a variety of tapas, organic salad, kogi gui, bibimbop, side orders, yachae gui, soups and noodles. Wharo Korean BBQ s salads include tofu, seaweed, ahi tuna and mushroom. The restaurant also serves assorted vegetables, corns, shitake mushrooms and zucchini. Its side orders include sliced and minced garlic and black, white and brown rice. Wharo serves a variety of soups, such as seaweed, miso tofu, spicy kalbi and kalbitang. Its name refers to an old age charcoal pot symbolic in Korea, which families sit around to eat and tell stories.
