Not once but twice this clinic has come through for me and my cat. Both times it was on the weekend and both times she called me right back and met me at the clinic - even in the middle of a snowstorm. I started my veterinary care with the Becker clinic. The first time I had an emergency Dr. Becker was unable to meet me. Since my cat's injuries were life threatening I called the Maquoketa Veteinary Clinic and she responded immediately. Last Sunday my cat began meowing frantically and we knew right away that something was terribly wrong. My daughter looked up the numbers for Vets in Maquoketa and Becker's was the only one that had a local number for emergencies so I called him. He told me what he thought was wrong based on the symptoms I described and said that baby aspirin could help alleviate his pain but the prognosis was not good. He said he was out of town and due to the snowstorm could not make it in. I understood but couldn't let my cat suffer through the night. I called Maquoketa Clinic just by chance and Dr. Kallenburger answered. She gave me the same diagnosis and was willing to meet me. I will be forever thankful to her for being there for me, my cat and my family.

I WAS GOING TO THEM. NOT NO MORE! 3-TIMES MY DOG, WAS ON THERE STEEL TABLE. HIGH UP, OFF THE FLOOR.AS SHE WAS LOWERING IT, THE HELPER, WOULD LET MY DOG, JUMP OFF! WHY? MY DOG'S LEGS

ARE VERY THIN,AND SHE IS OLD! I TOLD THE DR. WHY? DR. SAY ITS OK,SHE LOOKS ALRIGHT! BUT, HOW CAN SHE SAID THIS, WITH OUT LOOKING AT HER? THE HELPER, CRIED HER EYES OUT

IN FRONTED, OF ME, AT THE FRONT DESK.. I THINK THE DR.'S HELPERS NEED MORE LEARNING ON HOW TO HANDLED ANMAILS. IF THE HELPERS, CAN'T HANG ON MY DOG, LOOK FOR SOMEONE WHO CAN? WHY? DO THEY HAVE PEOPLE, WHO CAN'T HANG ON MY DOG? THE HELPER, WOULD THROW, HER ARMS OUT, LIKE SHE WAS SCARE OF IT? OR SHE CAN'T HANG ON MY DOG! 3-TIMES, IS ONE TIME TO MANY! I HAVE SEEN OTHER, VETS WHO STOP MY DOG FROM MOVING AROUND! THE HELPER WAS VERY THIN,AND YOUNG!

CRYING IN FRONT OF ME, LIKE A LITTLE BABY, WHY?? DID THE DR. SAY TO THE HELPER, ITS ALRIGHT?

NO ONE SAID, I'AM SORRY! OR CARED? I WOULD SAY, IF YOU GO TO THIS DR. STAY WITH YOUR PET! OF BETTER, GO LOOK AROUND. THEY HAD SALT FOR THE ICE, AT THE DOOR WAY, WHY, ITS GREAT TO HURT YOUR ANMAILS PAWS? IAM VERY UPSET, WITH THEY SERVICE! TAKE YOUR MONEY AND GO!

I would not recommend taking your pet to see Dr. Kallenberger. My regular vet, Dr. Becker, was out of town the day my cat had a urinary problem so I called Maquoketa Veterinary Clinic and scheduled an appointment with the receptionist. Since I had to work that morning, my husband dropped off our cat. When I called in, I told the receptionist that I wanted to talk to the vet when she examined my cat and before doing any kind of procedure or tests. About an hour and half after my husband dropped off the cat, I called to see when the vet was going to look at my cat. The receptionist said they had catheterized my cat and were spinning down his urine. At that point I had not spoken to Dr. Kallenberger to okay any procedure let alone give my cat anesthetic. I then asked to speak to the vet and was told my cat did not have any kind of urinary problem. Later that evening my cat died. I believe that my cat died because of the anesthesia. This vet did not speak to myself or my husband to get a history of my cat���s illnesses or allergies. I also was not informed about the risks of anesthesia. I feel Dr. Kallenberger acted irresponsibly and I would look elsewhere for pet care. I would recommend Dr Becker in Maquoketa or PetMed in Dubuque
