My visit to Mellow mushroom was mixed. The decor and building was nicely done however that is where the positives stop. When I was sat I was told that there was a 40 minute wait on any pizza order. I agreed to wait. My server was very inconsistent. I had to track her done to get drink refills twice since she never checked up. 50 minutes into waiting another employee came to my table to verify my order as if they forgot. I told them and then waited another 15 minutes until the pizza came. The pizza was very good but not worthy of the price tag nor wait time. I understand they just opened but there are some serious issues that need to be resolved. Everyone seemed like they really didn't care to work.

My husband and I (and our son) were so excited to go eat at Mellow Mushroom in Mansfield because we had eaten at other's and enjoyed it. It was a packed house but it only took about 5 minutes for us to be seated inside. We were seated in a booth right by the front so we could see everyone coming and going. (you'll understand in a minute) We got our drinks pretty quick. We placed our order, a pretty simple order, 1 lil' Enlightened Spinach Salad, 1 lil' Garden Salad, 1 small House Special, and 2 small Mighty Meaty pizza's. After about 10 minutes we got our salad's. =-)

After about 20 minutes we ask for drink refills and extra napkins (from a different waiter). Our waiter finally came back by and said sorry your food should be right out they're losing tickets in the kitchen. After 45 minutes our waiter brings out 1 pizza (the House Special) and says we're still waiting on those Mighty Meaty's. My husband said he wanted to wait on us to get our food before he ate. 30 minutes later still no food and no waiter. So now we've been there for over an hour and only 1 small pizza. By this time we watched at least 3 tables leave mad, my guess is the wait on their food. After an hour and 15 minutes of no Mighty Meaty Pizza's we ask to speak to the manager, get refills on our drinks and our ticket. My husband said we're only paying for our drinks and salad's. After 10 minutes no refills, no ticket, and no manager, although, he did stop to talk to the couple across from us about their messed up salad order. An hour and 45 minutes in our waiter comes back by and we ask again for the refills, our ticket and the manager. My husband told our waiter that maybe next time you may want to wait to bring all the pizza's out at the same time. After 2 hours we finally get our refills and our ticket, still no manager or pizza and we notice the couple across from us got their pizza in less than 30 minutes. We pay our ticket and get up, still waiting for the manager. Another one of the wait staff find the manager for us. We tell the manager what we've experienced and told him we paid for our drinks and salad's. He apologized for our wait and told us that we didn't need to pay for our bill. Please don't let this horrible night keep us from coming back to try them again. He told us the same thing our waiter did about the kitchen losing tickets. I find it hard that the kitchen lost our ticket since we got our salads and 1 of our pizzas. We told the manager that we were surprised that not only did we have only one pizza after 1 1/2 hours but that the table across from us got their pizza in less than 30 minutes and they were seated over an hour after us. A bus boy came to our table after we got up (before we spoke to the manager) and looked confused that we said we were done with an uneaten pizza on the table. He grabbed a piece of the pizza touched the bottom of it and said it was soggy (Of course after an hour of an untouched, uneaten pizza, it's gonna be soggy). As we were leaving I noticed the man from the table across from us had gotten up and was complaining to the manager that the waiter (bus boy) had touched our pizza then went to get a to go box, sat down at our table and put the pizza in the to go box. The man then said I know that they (my family) weren't taking the pizza with them (us) since they never got all of their food, then he took the to go box to the back with him. What a night. I certainly hope everyone else that goes there has much better luck than we did! I do want to say the restaurant was amazing to look at.

Took family to Mellow Mushroom on 9-6-2014 waited 20 mins to get seated. Ordered 45 mins later waitress says it will be another 5-10 minutes. 20 mins later we got part of or order. Waitress says, "Sorry we just opened". Bus boy wears hat backwards and kicks ice cubes around floor, I assume to entertain himself. Beautiful facility, unorganized, overpriced, incompetent employees. Don't do it, you'll be sorry.

I walked into the Mansfield Mellow Mushroom and ordered a large pizza to go. I was told it would be 30-35 minutes. As I was waiting I noticed a number of customers waiting as well - and saying they had been there over an hour. At about the 45 minute mark I asked about my order and was told mine is next out of the oven. After an hour I asked the manager - he said he would check but never came back. After 80 minutes if waiting I found the manager and he said they lost my ticket and wanted to know what I ordered. After 90 minutes I told them I'm done waiting and left. I was the 3rd person waiting that left - with no service! Never Again!

Great pizza; other menu items are also very good.

Just not enough parking. Be prepared to park a few blocks away (if you can even find a spot that close). It was half full at lunch time, their tiny lot was full, Mainstreet was full, the alley East of Mainstreet was full, the neighboring business was full, and all that was at 50% capacity. I'd give it 5 stars if I could park closer. Definitely a place to consider outside of normal dinning hours.
