I’ve had nothing but a good experiences through Stop. Staff is always friendly and helpful the building is clean and the cats she has all seem very happy and well cared for. The woman that runs this place does a great job.

I am curious about all these negative reviews. Diana is a truly caring person providing a valuable service to the community. On several occasions, for over 18 or 19 years, I have taken cats to her and also received them from her. She works tirelessly to adopt the cats into appropriate homes and screens people to make sure both the adopter and the adoptee are a good fit. She works tirelessly to maintain her facility which is not easy, given her amount of 'residents'. She is an amazing asset to the cats in the area.

The low cost vet service and spay/neutering program is a wonderful way to put the brakes on the cat population. Yes, she does not condone any cruelty to animals and is straightforward about it. People need to realize she is on the side of the animal and that's what makes her an unique person, and maybe we need more of that.

I took my baby here to get fixed yesterday. I have been in contact with Diana twice before coming into the actual clinic and she was nothing but kind, considerate, and helpful. When we came in to schedule our spay appointment; she was once again kind and helpful. She provided us with educational insight, and more time than you would topically get from a vet.

Our kitty is healthy, healing fine, and back to her normal self!

I took my cat there on Friday, October 21. He came home with a very badly broken leg. His femur bone was broke. When we asked them what happened, they took no responsibility for the injury, and even went so far as to say we must have brought the cat that way. Apparently they are willing to neuter a cat with a broken leg, and never call it to the attention of the owner. I think not!!!!!!!!!!! They broke my cat's leg! NEVER TAKE A CAT THERE!

Took a perfectly healthy active cat in got a cat with a broken leg back. With no explanation as to what happened to him. After taking to social media we discovered that dozens more have had awful experiences with this place. Please protect your pets from the harm they may cause them.

I called today about getting our cat fixed! NEVER will I take as much as a fishing worm there! I was talked to so poorly. I don't see how she could love animals then sugest me to turn my cat into a barn cat. The lady was so disrespectful. Not to mention the horrible cries in the back ground! People .... PLEASE do not take ur pet's here. It can not be a good environment for them. After the way I was treated.... One can only assume how the animals are treated. This makes me sad.

I took my one cat here and it looked as though he were drunk when I brought him home. However I am taking my other kitten here as they seem friendly

I just made a call to STOP to get my new kitten started on her shots and deworming. The lady on the phone, Diane, answered all my questions and not once was she rude at all. I called at 6:30 pm thinking I'd get an answering machine with their hours and was surprised that she was still there on a Friday evening. I think the tone of her voice is mistaken as being rude, etc, but to me she sounded like someone overworked, and unappreciated, but not rude at all.

As far as declawing, it is a very crude and painful surgery. It's actually an amputation of the cat's toes. They remove the tip of each toe at the joint. Can you imagine how painful it would be to have all of your fingers amputated like that? The fact that they will not allow declawing says very loudly that they care very much for these cats. I have dealt with many breeders that will not sell you a cat unless you sign a contract stating the cat will not be declawed. Cats can easily be taught to use scratching posts.

It is obvious to me that Diane cares very much about these cats. It's the humans that are a little hard to stomach sometimes. You don't walk in her shoes so stop with YOUR rude and incensative remarks!

I contacted STOP regarding a kitten that was posted on petfinder.com. From the very first phone call, I was made to feel like I was bothering them by calling. Please note, it was not as if I stopped someone on the street and tried to steal their kitten (although that is how I was made to feel with every interaction I had with Diane), I was replying to an add that THEY had posted to find someone to adopt this kitten.

I held my tongue because my daughter was so excited to meet and hopefully bring home Blue Lily. I sent an email as I was instructed to request an application for adoption. The only positive experience I had was that an application was sent to me very quickly. The response that I got back was very short. It read "What makes you think you want a kitten since you have never had one. Do you have a picture of your dog that you can send me?" I proceeded to send a very nice email back explaining that I had had cats as a young girl and that my daughter loves animals and was old enough now to help with the responsibility of having a cat. I sent multiple pictures of our little dog, showing how much we love him and our family. I didn't hear anything back.

I called later that night to see if we could possibly come pick up the kitten the next day. I was told by Diane in a very demeaning manor that I would have to wait to hear back via email.

We waited anxiously all the next day... Finally I called in the late afternoon and asked if it would be easier for us to talk over the phone instead of going back and forth online. Diane gave me a very bad attitude and stated that it would not be easier but she would look for my application. Once she was back on the phone she told me she needed to have one of her girls call my vet and I would need to call them to give permission. Again, I can not stress enough how rude her tone is through the entire phone call and how I was made to feel like I was being such a bother. I waited and waited and still no phone call back... I finally called back again (even though I have to say I felt kind of scared to!)and asked if they had gotten a hold of my vet yet. At that point Diane gave a disgusted sigh, said "I don't know." and then hung up on me. That's right... She hung up on me! I tried calling back a few times only to have someone pick up the phone and then hang it up right away. The one time she did actually say something, as soon as she heard it was me, she hung up again. I even sent an email giving her the benefit of the doubt asking if they were having phone trouble and if we could please come pick up the kitten. This email was never answered.

I have never in my life been treated so rude. All we were trying to do was rescue a kitten and give her a loving home. My 8 year old daughter was so crushed that this woman never even responded back to our adoption request. I just can not believe the level of unprofessionalism and out right mean behavior of this woman. If you try to adopt from this center, good luck ever getting your cat and if you have kids, I would advise not even telling them you are trying to get one from here until you actually have it in your hands or else they will end up very disappointed. (After rereading this review, I still don't think it really emphasizes how incredibly rude this woman is! I'm not sure words can describe her.)

STAY AWAY NOT WORTH THE PRICE DIFFERENCE! Never again will I bring one of my cats here. The place smelled like cat pee. The secretary was rude and the vet even ruder. Then they went on in front of my 10 year old daughter how my cat was pregnant and they had to take the kittens. The poor thing was up all night crying. I will pay double cost before I ever go back to this place.

This place is terrible. My wife and I were discusted by the condition of both the building and the animals. Niether is in good hands. It saddens me greatly that such a place exists and that these poor animals cannot speak for themselves. This is no rescue.

Filled out an application to adopt a cat. Was denied because my other cats I have adopted are declawed. I was told I was cruel because I mutilated my other cats, thus why I was denied. I am absolutely offended. I am shocked that with all of the animals out there, you wouldn't want one to go to a good home.

This place does not even deserve 1 star!

Diana, the so called 'one man show', is RUDE, OBNOXIOUS and could CARE LESS about the animals she has, someone needs to turn her over to the humane society. She obviously is not in the business of caring for the animals, because she hoards them, and refused to adopt out for NO reason, only based on how she feels. These poor cats sit in deplorable conditions while she plays God with these animals lives. Do these animals a favor, go visit, then report what you see to the Humane Society... also go to www.petfinder.com and have her reported to the executives there.

Diane is a one-woman show at STOP working from 10 am until midnight doing her very best to help strays and sick feline critters. She does thorough background checks to make sure any cats she adopts out go to good, humane homes. Yes sometimes the smell is overwhelming but she is a last resort before the cats go to the gas chamber. Idiots often just show up with cats in a box and walk out. Sometimes those poor things are sick and Diane does what she can to help them before putting them down. Many times strays are healed and adopted out; sometimes they are put down if they are too far gone. She is abrupt and that is due to the amount of ridiculous morons who walk through her door for the last 24 years. Local vets charge as much as $110 for neuter & shots for male cats & $140 for spay & shots for female cats; STOP charges $25 males & $60 for females - that's a WORLD of difference in price!

If I could, I'd give this plac...

If I could, I'd give this place no stars. I haven't even been in their building and am disgusted by how the woman that runs that place. I recently called about a kitten they had listed as available for adoption, but told her that we would want her spayed at our family vet. Just over that she immediately got an attitude with me over the phone, even when I told her we would pay the full adoption fee and bring in proof from our vet that the kitten would be spayed. This was all because we had a previous bad experience years ago after taking a cat there to be fixed and got her back and she was basically on her death bed - she was literally skin and bones. I then told the woman that she just lost out on possibly getting one her kittens adopted and she just muttered "hmm" as a response. Its as if she didn't even care. I'm starting to believe she is one of those women that should be on an animal hording shows and is just hiding behind the image of an animal shelter. I feel terrible for the animals in her care. I can only hope that she will be reported to the correct people and this "shelter" be shut down and the animals can actually be properly taken care of.

warning

this place is discusting and run by morons. i stopped by and someone had dropped off a mother cat and 4 kittens in a pet carrier. they were fully aware and let the cats trapped in the carrier to slowly die. inside is gross, discusting, and stinks horribly. all cats were sick to the point where we were afraid to touch them. it is inhumane, cruel, and torturous to how they deal with their animals. some one please step in and solve this travisty.

Who is rescuing?

This place was gross. Sick cats were everywhere among healthy animals. I believe the infections probably just keep going around. There is a huge amount of animals kept in a very small space. There was insufficient litter boxes for the amount of cats. I am guessing there were 16 cats to one litter box. I had to take a shower to disinfect myself after leaving before I would even touch my own cat.
