After being lied to and taken advantage of by another transmission shop in Manchester, I took my car to Russell Automotive to have them take a look at the questionable work that was done at the other shop. I had been issued a fake ATRA warranty for a transmission rebuild from the other shop. I went into Russell Auto and immediately, the man at the desk was helpful and friendly. I explained my situation and while we agreed that my warranty was not valid, he walked outside with me and did a basic visual inspection of my transmission. He suggested I bring it back in for further inspection by the owner at their next available appointment, which was only a day and a half later. We talked extensively (past their hours operation) discussing the situation. Like I said, he was very friendly, helpful and encouraging. He explained that I should not fret about it until they can look at it in more detail because I wouldn't be able to do anything at the time anyways. This made me feel much better. When I took my vehicle back, they got to my car right away. I had prepared to be there for a few hours, but within 15 minutes they called me back to discuss what they found. They helped me take meaningful photos and prepared a statement to dispute what work had actually been done on the transmission by the other company. Wayne and his team continued to be very helpful and friendly amidst this very frustrating time - and free of charge. Although I moved away, Wayne continued to have correspondence with me and make sure that I got the issue resolved. Above ANY other transmission shop in the country, I would recommend Russell Auto for your transmission needs. I talked with him quite a bit and it is clear to me that he only wants to help his customers. On his website, he has helpful hints on how to avoid transmission trouble which can save you a lot of money in the long run. His staff only do their absolute best work all of the time and really care about all of their customers. The cost of the work is absolutely worth it. You may find a quote for $200 less, just like I did, but I would highly recommend going with Russell Auto because you will find that $200 is your peace of mind and life of your car will thank you! I wish I had chosen his shop fromt he start. I know I would have been much, much happier.
