Just when I thought I found an OB that I could talk to and trust.....unfortunately....you don't just have to deal with doctors...you have to deal with office personnel, insurance, billing! I went in for ONE service..ONE ultrasound and was charged for TWO! Whether the tech who performed it was incompetent or new.. I couldn't say.. but I was not informed or given the choice to move forward with the "second" ultrasound when the tech couldn't read the first. My insurance doesn't pay for ultrasounds and Manchester OB didn't find it necessary to inform me I was having a "second" and led me to believe it was "normal"...that is until billing! As with most places..we are generally told if insurance doesn't pay for a service we will be responsible! well.. I feel we should also be informed of that very thing when we are about to have TWO ultrasounds.. not one..but TWO that we will be responsible for if insurance doesn't pay..is that so much to ask for? not only will they not inform you, but they are also UNWILLING to adjust their bills when informed of wrong doing..they would much rather lose patients than adjust their pocketbook. How many patients DO NOT dissect bills!!?? you need a degree alone just to understand them..i think that's what they count on..unfortunately!

I love Manchester OB. I have been going for about 2 years and they have always been very kind and well informed. Their office is very welcoming and they have access to quite a bit of new technology. My only complaint is, when I was facing a difficult decision to abort my pregnancy, I found the prices for the procedure to be alot higher than anywhere else.
