My opinion is that I would not recommend this Credit Union at all.

I have had a loan with them since 2009, and I can say based on my experience, which was too long sadly, that they treat their "members" terribly - and I'm a lawyer. I can only imagine what they do to people who don't know the law or don't have the resources to hire one.

I'm also very concerned about their financial liquidity based on my experience - if the other members knew how much money these people spent harassing me and how they target people, they'd be lining up at the counter demanding their money.

BCCU's software and systems are substandard. Their failure to have an adequate infrastructure to process payments correctly really places members at their mercy. Triple check their records. Demand accountability. I would highly recommend any legitimate bank over them any day. But, hey they have a good lobby and can spend your member dollars on advertising to make you think they are better than they are. Don't buy it.

I was contacted by an independent auditor and explained my situation with their fuzzy math and I'm glad I did. If you receive a letter I recommend you respond to it. Oversight is important to non-profits like this one.

(They probably should have opted for the confidentiality agreement. Then I couldn't speak badly about them. I said they weren't bright right?)

Go somewhere else. Anywhere else. You will be grateful you did.
