I truly had a great experience at HSC. I was admitted into the hospital and I was sent to a room within 5 minutes. I had 3 nurses assisting me, taking my pulse, getting my IV's in, getting me a gown, and starting my meds. I am used to waiting hours before being seen but I got right in and the nurses were on top of getting everything done. I was settled and feeling better within an hour. I had surgery the following day and afterwards, my nurses were very caring and gentle with me. My beds were changed and my room was cleaned. My final day there, my nurses had changed but before I left the nurses I had the day before had even come back to check on me. It was a very great experience. I hate hospitals but the staff and the friendliness of the nurses made my stay more bareable. I think this is a really personable hospital.

The people are rude and the nurses are extremely unprofessional-in ICU they are not supposed to be using extreme profanity and talking about their "experiences." I am not easily offended by any means but there is certainly a time & place for everything. There is a young nurse named Heather that it is surprising she remembers her own name-she had to enter and exit the room multiple times to bring in the proper medication and test kits. There is a young male nurse (do not remember his name, maybe Sean?) who was very rude to several of the patient's families trying to evict them from the rooms before visiting hours are over. Also, the hospital has very strange ICU hours so you will not be able to spend much time with your loved one. The best thing we did was transfer my father to a different hospital-we will never willingly use this hospital again and if a miracle would shut the building down-all the better.
