New Clients and Their Pets Welcome;New Pets & Their Owners Welcome; The Only Vet Clinic in the Village of Malone. The Adirondack Park Pet Hospital and The Animal Clinic of Malone are two inter-related small animal veterinary practices operated by Dr. Stu Stevens, a kind, caring, and skilled veterinarian and his competent staff in Saranac Lake and Malone. We see dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, chinchillas, hamsters, and iguanas, snakes, and turtles. We offer state of the art veterinary medical and surgical care combined with compassion and professionalism. We understand that your pets are important members of your family and your life and want you to have options in choosing your pet?s health care. We give you those options. At The Adirondack Park Pet Hospital and The Animal Clinic of Malone, we believe that a small mom and pop veterinary hospital can still deliver big on medical and surgical services. And because we know our patients well, we offer better and more individualized veterinary care. Both The Adirondack Park Pet Hospital and The Animal Clinic of Malone are self sufficient facilities with separate staffs ready to help you and your pets. Each practice offers examinations, hospitalization, blood testing, radiology, abdominal ultrasound, fecal and urine testing, anesthesia, surgery, and dentistry. We are wellness and early disease detection oriented practices. It is much easier to keep your pet healthy with semi-annual visits than it is to try to bring your pet back from a protracted, debilitating illness. Because of this, we recommend regular blood testing to detect problems early and treat them proactively.

It is very disturbing to think this man works with animals as he was so rough and completely uncaring with my moms cat upon examination. I had a feeling we made a mistake going to this office when I noticed animal feces rubbed in on the waiting room floor, NO stainless steel exam tables, a really dirty smelly old house. In the exam room Mr Stevens hooked a NOOSE around the cats neck to lower him on a scale to get his weight. The cat of course fought back as it's airway was being blocked. Mr Stevens was scratched and that pissed him off. He got mad and said he couldn't subject him or his staff to that cat. He left the room. His assistant apologized for Mr. Stevens behavior. He came back in and said he would do the $1500.00 procedure in 3 days. By then we had the cat and we were heading out. We told him he wasn't going to touch the cat again. The receptionist seemed very nice and not shocked at the episode as if it were the norm for Mr. Stevens to act this way to clients and pets

I hope that who ever goes he...

I hope that who ever goes here has already been, and wouldn't go again. A Vet is suposed to care about the animals and not be in it for ONLY the money. He is not thorough. My cat had earmites when we first got him and he said that my cat was fine. I took him somewheres else and they said he had earmites and treated him and he no longer doug at his ears, I could see that and I don't have a degree.
