I’m writing this review to update my previous review called “Worst Ever! Buyer Beware!” Recently the spa owner contacted me after hearing about a negative review I posted online. She was really nice and re-opened the lines of communication with me. She offered products and/or services for the unused portion of my payment. She also explained that I actually wasn’t burned but that the marks on my face were contact dermatitis which is normal after the procedure. While I don’t have my patient files to determine exactly what those marks were on my face, they did not last and I feel that my facial volume is returning since the procedure. Alicia also apologized that I was unhappy with the services I received and that meant a lot to me. I really appreciate business owners, like Alicia, who try to make amends with dissatisfied customers. While my opinion of my experience was initially very negative, I want everyone to know that my opinion of this spa has definitely improved.

Alicia Childress, the spa owner, insisted that four sessions of the Tripollar Apollo would help fix those pesky laugh lines on my face. I’m a 34 yr old woman, and I used to look a lot younger. I trusted Alicia to help me out. After three painful sessions I cancelled my fourth. I had burn marks all over my face that looked like curling iron burns. The fat melted out of my face and drained away. My lymph nodes swelled up and I looked horrible. It has been over five months since my procedure and I still don’t look normal. This has been the worst thing that has ever happened to me. I am so depressed over this, I am so depressed over my looks. Alicia refuses to give me a refund--bye bye $600. She also refuses to refund me for the unused session that I prepaid for. She refuses to give me a copy of my patient records, and when I requested them she told me I could never come into her spa or call her spa again. Please, please, if you value your money and looks do not waste your time with this place. Alicia hasn’t even APOLOGIZED for the horrible procedure that has ruined my face. I have learned the hard way to NEVER go to a spa, such as this one, where there is not doctor or physician who works there. This makes it so much more difficult to hold the spa accountable for their negligence because there is no actual doctor there. It really is buyer beware with this. There are so many wonderful dermatologists and REAL anti-aging physicians in the Houston area--why would you trust your beauty to anything less than the best? I do NOT recommend this spa to my worst enemies.
