Provided by SuperpagesI highly recommend Shady Brook Animal Hospital. Dr. Quillivan is kind, understanding, and compassionate with the animals she treats. When I had to put my Yorkie down at the age of 15 1/2 years, she totally understood my pain, treated my Precious with such kindness, and actually came to the house to ease the situation for my beloved pet. She takes her time when you have office visits and treats you like you and your pet are the most important client she has. Love her and her staff. There is no one better than Dr. Quillivan. Love that she is so knowledgeable and helpful, especially when I go to the office with lists of questions!

Provided by SuperpagesShadybrook has taken care of all my dogs for the past 6 years. I would not take them anywhere else. They can be a bit expensive, but I believe you get what you pay for. My 11 year old New Foundland started having seizures and they did everything they could to save him. My shorkie went into labor for the first time late at night and Dr. Q. called me and helped me through her labor over the phone. I don't think anyone else would have done that. I would refer anyone to them.

Provided by SuperpagesWe took our 1 year-old puppy in with seizures and nausea. Dr. Qullivan gave us a prescription for prednesone and anti-seizure, both oral prescriptions. The anti-seizure medication had to be compounded by the pharmacy as none was available off the shelf. Dr. Quillivan did NOT give the puppy a shot for nausea, as we now feel she should have done. As a result he was unable to keep any of the medication down and died that night, and it was not pleasant. We were, to say the least, beside ourselves and not thinking clearly. We feel that is what we were paying Dr. Quillivan to do for us. After all, she is the vet for gosh sakes. And for $600+ over two days it seems to me we did not get what we paid for and a huge disservice was done to a sweet, innocent little puppy that never hurt anyone. I will never...NEVER...let anyone at Shady Brook touch another one of our pets. Be warned - you use them at your own risk.

Provided by SuperpagesWe have seen Dr. Q since she opened. She was very attentive with our dog and for the most part she's been great. On one occasion she seemed annoyed when we brought our dog in for emergency treatment as it was a holiday. She now has another VET, but she can't seem to give us complete answers about our sick dog. I know business is growing, but if I'm spending a lot of money, I would prefer to see Dr. Q. Other than that, it's a great place to take your pet for routine checkups and the staff is very friendly.
