Great service-usually within 15 minutes of when I call. Drivers are helpful, pleasant and it is a great change of pace having drivers operate their cars safely.

As a downtown resident, I've used Union Cab in the past for a variety of occasions and was never disappointed with service. It's also uniquely cool that they allow pets in their cabs for a small fee. However, over the weekend two different drivers took advantage of my sibling, a special needs adult. Rather than charge the quoted and actual fare for the ride, one driver claimed half of the money in hand in order to allow money for a return ride home. The return driver made it to the destination in less time and rewarded themselves with the other half of the money. I did not believe the cost of this round trip was justifiable. I called Union Cab. I verified the actual mileage and estimated cost with a helpful and polite operator. Despite the time, the distance, the quoted fare, and the dispute of the fare being charged, these two drivers overcharged by 30 %. The fare did not add up, regardless of what the circumstances could have been. That 30% was not a tip. That 30% was not an accidental charge. I believe this was clearly Union Cab drivers scamming a special needs adult in this instance. I worry there are lots of individuals being deceived about the actual cost of any cab ride. A significant portion of the population depend upon Union Cab service for daily/weekly needs and in no way ever deserves to be taken advantage of. I don't plan on letting this kind of service go unrecognized. I will be contacting the chief of operations with a special needs message for ALL Union Cab employees. I hope this particular instance, with these two drivers, is acknowledged as bad for ALL members of the Co-Operative and ultimately the community of Madison itself.

I love every one of their drivers. They have been courteous and nice.
