I loved Ryan's until I went to this one. It is the nastiest place I have ever been. The food is awful the customer service is terrible. The drink station is nasty. We spent 32 dollars and didn't eat but one plate. I could not go back for seconds cause the first was nasty I will NEVER go there again

So boyfriend and I took my elderly parents to ryans.its thanksgiving. Drove from Portland to Madison. They doubled the price I guess cause its a holiday, so yes we paid that for my mom and dad after driving that far.but REALLY was not worth $64 and some change for 4 plates of food.never do that again.Shame on you Ryans.CRACKERBARELL NXT YEAR

I visited this establishment last night with a total of 8 people and 1 baby. The people I was with are from a different country so they had never been to Ryan's before so they were unfamiliar with how things worked so the cashier was very nice and was explaining to them but I think they just felt uncomfortable so I ask if I could just have my money back for My daughter & I and I said that we would like to just go to Panda Express so the cashier was nice and called I guess what seemed to be the manager VIRGIL, cashier told VIRGIL the situation and he was VERY RUDE by saying oh nice, tapping real hard on the touch screen register and I ask him after about 5 minutes of standing there waiting for a refund, I did not realize how lengthy of a process this was and he said REAL SMART YES IT TAKES SOME TIME. I said what is your name and he would not tell me or speak. The poor cashier moved his lips and said I am sorry. So when VIRGIL finally retrieved my money from the register he took the money and coin and slammed it down on the counter and I just stood there and ask him can you please hand that to me in my hand and he walked off and ignored me and then walked back and said we will take the next person in line and told me to move along and I said no you need to hand me my money in my hand and he pretty much told me to leave I picked my money up and My Party & I left. I have been a customer for over 25 years since my children were born and the establishment was Hometown Buffet and I have never in those OVER 25 years ever felt so disrespected at a food establishment especially not the restaurant I would like to say has been my families favorite. I will never eat at this establishment again as long as VIRGIL is at this location.

I've visited this establishement a number of times, both when it was called Hometown Buffett and as Ryan's. Hometown is part of the Ryan's corporation, and the only difference I've noticed is that there is an even larger selection of foods now that it is Ryan's. Staff has always been pleasant, and it's been rare to see a display empty. Typically see a new supply of food being brought to display prior to a plate becoming totally empty. My only disappointment has been that their ice cream or softserve machine which is rarely working properly, with some flavors either being empty or all too thin and runny to make it back to the table before melting. It's a good place for families, and anyone who wants to enjoy well cooked food.

Is this a real Ryans or a Hometown Buffett with the Ryans name on the front?
