Very nice people, but the quality of what they give out is beyond sad... milks, yogurts, fruits and veggies well past their exasperation (today the yogurt was over 2 weeks past the exp. date).... over abundance of bread but nothing to put ON the bread. One pound of meat for a family of four, that's badly freezer burnt... there was two cans of corn, an indiidual salad that expires tomorrow, and one box of mac and cheese. I know they are trying, but I worry that one of these days someone is going to eat some of these foods and get very sick.... the stores they get donations from need to step up their game if this place has any hopes of staying open and avoiding controversy.

90% of "food" given is rich in carbohydrates and sugar. These foods contribute directly to obesity and Diabetes. In healthcare fields we have to discourage their recipients to steer clear of "disaster relief foods". In that case, recipients walk away after 3 hours with a small bag of very soft vegetables/fruit that is so old it must be consumed within 2 days . Cans of corn or beans abundant. Most of their food is donated by grocery stores or Convention centers. Sorry to be honest.
