Awesome staff to work with during opening and closing of our pool very knowledgeable staff

very slow to respond - trying to get service is painful!
service department is SLOW to respond at best!

Negligence in constructing my in ground swimming pool. Currently awaiting a disciplinary hearing by the NC Licencing Board for General contractors for multiple violations.

They have also had mine as well as others FB reviews deleted inorder to make their reviews more appealing. Covered by the news twice and they still have not cometely restored my property. See links below.

Currently in a Terrible Experience with Parnell Pool and Spa. See my Profile picture so that you are aware of the Gross Negligence conducted by Parnell Pool and Spa, who has stores in Fayetteville and Lumberton, NC, due to their lack of planning and execution in the placement of my in ground swimming pool. The issues was identified on 9JUN15 and the City issues a Stop work order on 23JUN15. Since 9JUN15, they have abandoned the project and have refuse to either fix the issue or reimburse the money I have spent. I have filed a complaint with the NC licensing board for general contractors in which they have an open investigation. Instead of accepting responsibility they are placing the blame on the customer (me). I paid them to build me a in ground swimming pool since they are supposed to be the experts (obviously they are not), they built it on two easements since they did not utilize a land plot resulting in the City issuing a STOP WORK ORDER. Their excuse, Not that they decide to draw a graph of the property since they didn't refer to a land plot which would have made them aware of where they could LEGAL build but that it was the customer's (my) fault since I should have told them where the easements were . Although I did initially pointed out my concerns with visible power lines at the far end of my property and they neglected to look into my concerns. Stay away from this company, they have horrible customer service (to include not returning calls) and their interests are not with the customer. The above is only the beginning. Here are other issues that came to light when I dug a little deeper into their lack of actions prior, during and after issues were identified:

- Neglected to conduct due diligence to visible overhead power lines concerns
- Neglected to obtain land plot or conduct a survey resulting in encroaching on power lines and drainage easement; both depicted on public County and City zoning records.
- Neglected to build to NC State Building Code & all other applicable State & Local Laws. Ordinance and Regulations as stated on City Permit.
- Neglected to adhere to NC Law: Call before you dig; There is no record of a work order prior to excavation. Utility lines were never marked.
- Neglected to post City Permit at construction site.
- Neglected to inform the City about the encroachment issues verified on June 10, 2015. City Zoning Office was not aware of encroachment until I informed them on June 23, 2015 since Parnell Pool & Spa was not returning my calls.
- Parnell Pool & Spa employee not present to supervise retaining wall construction subcontracted to Steve Britt which was also built on an easement and they neglected to include it in the Application for Building Permit.

One STAR is way too generous for my experience with this company.
