Summary: They want a full month's rent (which we won't even be there for) two weeks before we even move in. Management is more than rude. They shut their phones off every afternoon. If you leave a message THEY WILL NEVER RETURN THE CALLS. They send their emails to a forward where they are NEVER replied to nor seen. They refuse to be helpful or help change my first floor room to a second floor room due to disabilities. Worst experience ever. If I hadn't already signed my lease I would CHANGE MY LIVING ARRANGEMENTS IMMEDIATELY.

There is new management and it is worse than before. I had my mom and dad involved in everything to make sure there was no funny business and that we weren't getting scammed. My roommates and I trusted them and were very excited to move in this coming fall! To ensure that we would get a decent space, I sent them an email three weeks ago asking for a photo of the layout of the apartments (which weren't available anywhere online, but I recall it was on the wall in their office) and I have yet to get a reply.

We were eagerly waiting for assignments emailed to us when on Aug. 4 we received an email about an overdue rent that was due the first of August instead. BUT move in day is the 15th. They didn't even have our assignments when the rent was supposedly due. After a week of attempted calls to the apartment office we were sent to a voice-mail immediately. Half the time I was even able to leave a message. What was up with this? My future roommates tried the same with no luck as well. We had other friends who were to move in with the same situation. Eventually with no luck, I had my roommate go over to the office to find out what was going on.

The office was completely unorganized at first glance. The employees, usually in business ready attire, were in basketball shorts. They claimed that the rent was due for the month we weren't even there for with no exceptions. She also explained that they weren't answering the phones because THEY TURN THEM OFF in the afternoons in order to focus their attention on more important matters due to them being busy. But, let's be real, isn't their most important ideal supposed to be US. The CUSTOMERS?? She also said that they forward their mail to be "sorted", never to be replied to nor read. My friend called me and I put my mom on the phone asking for the manager. She, Sarah, was extremely rude stating that they would not change the asking price for the rent nor change our rooms at all. She even demanded she speak to our lawyer before speaking with us any further. It was RIDICULOUS. No one says that unless they have something to hide from us. We're college kids, it's us that they're scamming, you guys.

I had a couple friends who lived here last year, who warned us about University Courtyard. The new management assured us a good experience but failed to deliver. They do NOT put their customers first. They are RUDE BEYOND BELIEF. And EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. Caution, kids.

Beware of University Courtyard. Our son applied to move in but never finalized his lease agreement and subsequently moved into another complex in Lubbock. A lease was never signed with management. A year later he received a collection notice from them claiming he owed $5,400. Being a Texas Tech student, he went to legal aid at Tech and found this is a common practice at University Courtyard and many students have experienced the same fate. His was not an isolated incident. We have battled for two years to clear his credit report of their fraudulent charges. Even after receiving confirmation from the collection agency in 2014 stating the charges had been removed from his credit report, he received another notice recently claiming he owes $9450. This has been a nightmare. Please heed our warning. Stay away from University Courtyard or any other complex operated by the management company.

if there was a zero star option they would get it. my daughter has had the worst experience! black mold! an auto pay systems that stops working, but they won't dismiss the late fees! leaks in the ceilings and walls; had to move to a vacant unit in the middle of the night!

Terrible! I would never recommend this place to any parent for their child. They do not respond to residences requests, the issues they have had all year remain to the day they are moving out. Ice maker in the room has never worked...part is always on order! If you signed with a promotion, good luck on ever getting!! There is a revolving door of management at this place and NO-ONE takes responsibility...its a joke!

They don't care about their tenants. Unprofessional, underpaid staff will swindle every cent out of you and your parents. Payment system is terrible. even if you setup payment and their system fails, they will not let you know for a month and still charge you $800 in late fees.
