Mark Nix and Tim Vernor's paths first crossed in 1994. Mark was the instructor for Alpine Structures' Engineered Wood Products class in Pensacola, FL. Tim was a green salesman for Swift Supply in Orange Beach, AL and attended Mark's class. Neither man dreamed that their meeting in 1994 would eventually lead them to beginning one of the most successful Engineered Wood businesses just 7 years later. Mark and Tim first worked together at American Lumber Distributors in Bay Minette, AL from 1998-2001. In January of 2001, they started Engineered Lumber Partners, a wholesale distributor of engineered wood products & services. Today, ELP distributes to over 50 retailers - from west to to Lafayette LA, north to Canton, MS and east to Tallahassee, FL. With over 110 years combined construction and engineered wood products experience, Engineered Lumber Partners is the leader in innovation in the market place.
