My family & I have seen Zaxby's restaurants many times while traveling down to Tennessee but never had the opportunity to check it out since we always were in our camper & there wasn't ample parking. Lo & behold we saw that New Albany got their very own chain of Zaxby's! We could hardly wait to try it out!! We went this past weekend w/ open minds & hungry bellies! Upon first walking in we thought the atmosphere was nice. It wasn't very busy @ the moment for it being a Friday night but I spoke too soon as it QUICKLY became quite busy! The price was very nice (just over $15.00 for 2 adults & 1 child) that was UNTIL we saw how very tiny our portions actually were, especially for my husband! I had to give him MY food that I couldn't eat so that he wouldn't have left the establishment still hungry!! I took our drink cups to the "fountain machine" while dh was paying. All I can say is how horrible that experience was! There is this really spectacular machine that ONLY ONE person can use @ a time!!! The machine has SO many choices from EVERY type of drink choice there is but it is all a touch screen where there is ONLY ONE place the actual drink of choice comes out hence like I said, only ONE person @ a time so you can imagine the LONG stinking line & chaos this creates while waiting simply to make your drink let alone a family making drinks!!!! NO KIDDING the longest line was that drink line & it was extremely frustrating!! I ordered the 5 piece wings Sweet Terriaki-style & let me tell you, they aren't kidding about the "sweet" part as it honestly was TOO sweet to actually eat IMHO!! My 5 yo son got the grilled cheese. I was totally FLABBERGASTED @ how horridly & disgustingly greasy his GRILLED cheese sandwich was!!! I've never in my life seen something so greasy as that! I almost walked out not letting ANY of us touch a bite of our food!!! It was that bad!! My husbands food was horribly greasy too!! Never ever will eat @ that grease pit again!!!
