This place is a joke when it comes to selling them stuff. I had perfectly good items and they didn't buy them. Brought a box in with about 20+ items and they bought maybe 5. Don't go here.

I have both shopped and sold to Plato's Closet. A couple times I have went and looked at some items of clothing there. They do have a large store and a large selection, however I must say that their selection is quite bleak. Though it is nice that items are color coded and well seperated....the clothes that they sell are quite gross. Some of the items are decent and wearable. But some of the items are not attractive, stained, worn out, and smell funky. There was a few items with armpit stains. Going into a consignment shop I do not expect new or perfect clothes...but you'd think that as picky as they are when you sell your clothes to them that they wouldn't accept such trash.

Which brings me to the next point, selling my clothes. I brought in 2 bags of clothes...purses...jewelry. All of which it "claims" on it's website that they accept. The girl at the counter was very rude and def. had bad customer service. The other girls working seemed much the same way. While I filled out a slip she sorted through my clothes. Not even folding them back up when she was done. Out of all my items she accepted 3 items. The rest of my clothes she threw back in the bag saying they were either not in style or were missing the size tag. I brought in high end clothes. Apple Bottoms, Baby Phat, Mecca Femme. All of which were almost brand new and some had never even been worn! As for the jewelry..she didn't even glance at the jewelry. So obviously they must not accept jewelry even though they say they do. Though she gave me a fair price for my Enyce purse..just the simple fact that they are so picky about what they accept. However they sell such trash in their stores. A true consignment shop would have accepted items my items. I would have to say that before they start teaching their employee's to be so rude and critical of peoples clothes they should teach their employee's how to dress. I would have to say that her attire was less then appropriate for work.

Overall, this store is okay to buy some clothes for working out in, or clothes that you don't plan on wearing in public. And it takes some searching to find anything good.

Their customer service is by far the worst I have ever seen. Rude and unprofessional. They herd you through the selling process as if you're cattle.

I would not recommend this store to anyone. If you want to buy bargain name brand clothes go to Marshall's or TJMaxx. Even AJ Wright. At least their selection isn't so disgusting and their workers are much friendlier!
