Established in April 2011Coals Artisan Pizza is located in the promenade of the historic Vogue Theater in Louisville, Kentucky. This is the first coal-fire pizza in the state of Kentucky. Special attention is paid to the dough which is hand kneaded and refrigerated for 3 days allowing for maximum flavor development in the crust. Whenever possible Ingredients are sourced locally. The pizzas can be described as American Neapolitan. Thin crust with a puffy cornicione using American ingredients.

HORRIBLE and that does not even begin to describe it!! We waited to be seated which was fine.. but waiting over an HOUR for our pizza is not acceptable. Our pizzas also came out 15 minutes apart!! The worst part was my friends drink not only had pizza in it but a napkin!! How do you not see that in a glass! That is totally unacceptable and our bill should have been credited in full but no she did not!! The waitress Hillary was the manager and after we voiced our concern never came back with our drink refills. This place will be closed in no time with the service and food they are serving! The pizza was not good, in fact Blaze Pizza is 10x better and not as over priced for what you get! Good Luck if you decide to try this place!!
