Let me start by saying that you will ABSOLUTELY get a better price from a different repair shop. Secondly, these guys are the quintessential untrustworthy mechanics that everyone fears. I brought my truck in for brake repair and they literally quoted me double what a previous brake job cost. Over $2,800.00! I told them that I was going to take it to the mechanic who worked on it in the past and they charged me $178.00 for diagnosing the problem. When I came to pick up the truck, they insisted that I have the truck towed out of their shop. After contacting a tow company the cost of the tow and the money I already spent on the diagnosis, I would have spent over $500.00, so I asked the service manager Pete if he could do better on the price. We agreed to $2,500.00 and I left the truck to be repaired. When I left the shop, I called Brian, the service representative who initially wrote the quote, to specifically confirm that the $178.00 I had already spent was going to be applied towards the repairs. He assured me it was, so I sent them my credit card information so they would begin the repairs.



Long story short, I was billed the full $2,500.00 and when I called Brian to tell him of the error, he said “I never told you that it was going to be applied.” A blatant lie.



It’s really not a matter of the $178.00. It’s the principal. Your definitely going to find a repair shop to perform the same level of service at a substantially lower price. And it’s a shame that you really can’t trust anyone’s word anymore. It’s especially offensive to have someone lie to you when they are keenly aware of what was agreed!
