The Verdugo is everything a neighborhood bar should be.



First, it's kind of hard to find. Look for a nondescript door with a large bouncer-type outside.



You enter into a narrow, dimly lit room that holds a long curvy bar and a few tables. Grab one of their many many beers (excellent selection of artisan beers) and walk out to the back patio.



This is one of the few beer gardens in LA, and it's a great one. Rows of picnic tables are usually filled with young East Siders (most of whom don't have the evil hipster gene you find in Silverlake) and Oxy students.



Frequent mash-ups with some of LA's best food trucks mean you can get your food and drink on all in one go.

We had a great time at the bar. It has a wonderful lounge area that is great for having a drink and relaxing. You can also sit a t the bar and watch your favotite movie on one of the two big screen tv's. Fantastic drinks.
