By far my favorite bookstore. You can find great used and new books. I especially love to browse the children's section. Here you can find classics as well as unique new books.

I had to take my Daughter here. She loves books and this place seemed like a world close to Harry Porter. We spent over and hour here. She was obsessed and found so many new and old books. Can't wait to go back.

Cool bookstore downtown...sort of the Amoeba Records of bookstores, in terms of cool-factor. Well-curated shelves and I've heard you can hold events like weddings there.

This is my favorite bookstore in the Los Angeles area. I typically go on the weekends and it's never been too busy or crowded. Staff are helpful and can give you suggestions based on your interests. It's located in a vintage looking building in downtown and they have an upstairs area with changing exhibits. Parking can be a pain since it's in downtown, but street parking is free all day Sunday. Check their website for events like lectures, shoes, and author talks. Highly recommend for book lovers!

Good new and used book store in downtown LA. There is a counter where you can sell your books. There seems to me more people just looking rather than buying.

This bookstore is a gem! I'm not sure how I didn't hear about this place sooner. They have a great selection of new and used books. I've found several great cookbooks and many science fiction novels. It's also a perfect spot to hang out and get lost.
