I had the pleasure of working at The Dog House for 7 years, and I cannot recommend Michelle enough. She cares immensely for her clients and is incredibly knowledgeable about all sorts of dog issues: from behavior to socialization to health, she's an invaluable resource for doggie parents! She takes care to train her staff to know the ins and outs of dog behavior, including temperament testing. No dog is allowed to attend daycare without first passing temperament tests, and there are breed restrictions in place - these tests and rules are there for the safety of all the pups. Dogs of all sizes are allowed to mix, unless there is a safety issue at play (i.e. teacup chihuahuas get to hang out in the Club Room, which is a special area separated from the rest of the main play floor, filled with cushions and in full view of the staff at all times). All dogs must have up to date vaccination records before they can begin daycare (or a vet note explaining any medical reason why they have not been vaccinated), and all dogs must be spayed or neutered if they are older than 7 months of age. Again, the vaccination records and spay/neuter requirements are for the safety of all of the dogs. I would never trust a facility that did not require them.

TDH also offers excellent and comparably priced grooming and bathing services by appointment (note: up to date vax records are required for these services, too). There is also a small, but lovingly curated retail section in the lobby, filled with top brand, healthy dog food and treats, and fun toys & accessories. I loved my time working there and learned a tremendous amount about dogs and dog behavior - I highly recommend it!

There are a lot of places like this one scattered around the city but I always go back in here, maybe because the staff that they have in here is amazing.

I always get all the things that I need from this place. They have so many great beds in here that I can’t just buy, because I already have a dog bed that I bought from here as well.

This place caters to all of your pets’ needs. I like that they try to make sure that every kind of pet that we could think of, they can provide the needs of it.
