When I went to pick up my truck the guy at the counter was on his cellphone ignoring me and then when he finally acknowledged me he was rude. He took me a my son out to get the truck and he gives me the oldest , ratty looking truck on the lot. When I asked him why he would give someone who's driving 2400 miles across the country The oldest truck on the lot and not a newer one, he states without looking me in the eye that those trucks are for local rentals. Really ??? You give the old, broken down trucks to someone driving across the country, but give the newer trucks to the people moving locally ? That doesn't make any since! I called and my wife called customer service with no help at all from them . We will never rent from budget again ! The truck billowed out black smoke the whole trip, it was leaking gas , shook and rattled so bad I could only drive 500 miles each day , and there was this shrill sound it made the whole trip. My 4 year old son asked if there were birds in the truck. Horrible , horrible experience! Don't rent from this place !
