This is when Founder, John Wilson, opened Auto Chek Centers' first Test-Only Center in West Los Angeles on November 1st, 1984. Auto Chek Centers entered the young industry with an innovative, full-service, step-by-step strategy to meet the state's growing need for smog inspections.

- We are a Test-Only smog check and auto registration company. Auto Chek has been serving Los Angeles and Orange County since 1984. As a test-only company, our customers can be assured an honest, unbiased test with no unnecessary repairs. We can test and certify most vehicles, including gross polluters, motor homes and diesel vehicles. As a licensed Registration service we can process most California renewals and title transfers, issuing renewal tags on site. We are not a branch of the DMV and not all transactions can be completed.
