Barton Cane is a manufacturer of premium gouged,shaped, profiled, and scored bassoon cane as well as gouged, shaped, and scored oboe cane. We use cane that is sourced from well-respected growers, and all of our cane is gouged, shaped, profiled and scored in-house using our own state of the art equipment. This allows us to produce any shape and any profile using any type of cane. All of our shapes are modeled after existing shapers, and we will be continually growing our library of available shapes. Our goal is to provide standard shapes that bassoonists and oboists are familiar with. Just a few examples for the oboe are: Mack +, Mack Pfeiffer, Caleb -1, Joshua +2 and RDG -1. A few of the examples of bassoon shapes that we offer are: Herzberg, Fox 1, Fox 2, Rieger 1a, Knochenhauer, Van Hoesen, Christlieb and many more.
