I attended their late winter gardening classes for several consecutive Saturday. I was in the planning stages of construction of a greenhouse and looked forward to my novice attempt at vegetable and flower gardening. I was very astounded by the superb presentations on soil, seeds, watering, lighting, fertilization, and other vital facts for novice and experienced gardeners. Knowledge of all these facts was professionally offered. Anderson's also has a large selection of seeds for flowers, vegetables, and fruit trees. (And it helps that Mark has a bubbly personality).

This is an amazing family owned garden store. Not only are they knowledgable but they do their best to offer classes and they have a wonderful website full of information for our locale. The.store is something to see throughout all the holidays. Talk to Mark, he is a wizard where it comes to gardening.

2 years ago I purchased 1000 palm California Fan Palm (Washingtonia filifera) palm tree seeds from Seedcoseeds.com Anderson s Seeds since a professional grower recommended them to me as a reliable seed source. Two years later once the palms have grown to be able to see the kind of palms they are, I see that they are NOT California Fan Palm (Washingtonia filifera), but CaliMex Fan Palm (Washingtonia filifera x robusta) also know as Washingtonia filibusta hybrid. That s not what I was looking forward as I already have many of these hybrids. I wanted pure Washingtonia filiferas. Can t trust the professionals? Then who do I trust? I can provide photos if necessary.
