There should be a 0 star rating. Stay away from this lawyer! Menders is loud, obnoxious, pompous and a sexist. He is completely unprofessional and disrespectful, not to mention his work ethic is horrendous. He prides himself on being deliberate and thorough, it is anything but. His work is so sloppy, that when I confronted him on his many mistakes, he raised his voice to me, slammed his hands on his desk and threatened to increase his lawyer fees on my bill! He also threatened to withdraw my complaint and said I could find a new lawyer to start all over with. Internally I was furious, but bit my tongue. He needs to retire ASAP!

This lawyer saved my life. I am a women who used him for a divorce and he was very smart and to the point. He is a tough guy who will get the job done. I dont know about you, but when I need a lawyer I want someone who is in my corner who is as knowlegable as him.

Could not agree more with the last review. I wish I had seen it before I hired him. Worst money ever spent! He's a liar and a cheat and doesn't follow through on anything he says he is going to do. He doesn't know the law and treats people like dirt. He should absolutely be disbarred!!! Please don't hire him. I promise you will regret it!

Mr. Menders has been honest without any disrespect during the fifteen years we have been associated and I recommend anyone that wants legal counceling to contact him.

I have had the pleasure of working with Robert for over 2 years. He has always been a stand up guy, very professional, by the books and a pleasure to work with. I have family in the Detroit area and would absolutely refer them to Robert for any Family Law matter!

Robert S. Menders should be disbarred. He is a disgrace.

Please do not hire him! He takes advantage of clients. He will promise to fight for you and your children but he will not. If you are a woman, he will sexually harass you. His work is substandard. He does not respect court officials. If opposing counsel is a woman, flirt with her and behave inappropriately. Many grievances have been filed against him but they do not appear on the grievance website because they have not been resolved yet.
