I had my car towed to the shop. He barely looked at it and said it was the fuel pump. The fuel pump is underneath the rear seat and I could have changed it in under one hour. He charged 450.00 and I truly think he is overcharging not just me but everyone. Mark Ziegler

I'm really happy with the work I had done at Livonia Car & Truck Repair. They did major work to my Subaru, at a MUCH better price and timeline than the dealer could offer. I would highly recommend this shop, and found the manager/owner to be very agreeable and honest to work with. If I ever need repairs on my Subaru in the future, I'll be bringing it back here, even though it's a drive across the state for me (I have family nearby).

The place id just down the street from me and it is the most simple to access auto repair place around. They usually can get work done same day if I drop off car in the morning.

Manager is beyond rude!!

I drove by the place several weeks ago needing an oil change. I decided since the price was pretty cheap for $18.95, I decided to pull in. I walk in and begin to ask (Rob) if he can put an oil filter that I purchased while he gave me an oil change for my van. Immediately from the start he gave me attitude and was shoving things around on the counter as if he was angry about something prior to me arriving. I excused him considering we all have our bad days. He pulls my van into the garage and I walk in the garage area to tell him that the previous oil change I had used 5w30 - and if he can possibly use the same type of oil. He looks at me with a condescending look and says "dont worry, I got it", then shakes his head. After the oil change he comes into the office and has the same attitude and tries to charge me $21.00 when he told me before the oil change that he would charge me a total of $18.00. He then tells me how bad my brakes were - which I was aware of. He gives me a pretty good price considering how tight I was financially at the time. I said yes I will get them done there. Several weeks later when I had the funds I called him to let him know I was coming to do my brakes that coming Saturday. I finally come in and he apologizes for the way he acted when I was there getting my oil changed. I was glad he apologized and felt good about my decision going back to get my brakes done. I left the van and told him to call me when the van was done. The place closed that day at 5:30. Now it's 3pm, when I had dropped the van off at 12. I called him to just ask what the progress was on the van. He began to have attitude telling me he has other cars to do and how if he wasn't on the phone that he'd get it done. Now it's 4:30 and still no call from him. I called him again and he told me he'll be done with my brakes in 20 mins. 45 mins go by and he didn't call. I called him again and says he'll be done within 15 mins. Another 40 mins go by and I decided to call him again. Now the time is 6:30 (an hour after closing). I call him again and says he needs another 20 mins (with major attitude). I hang up the phone and decided to just go there to see what was going on with my van. As get to thw parking lot of the garage, he calls me. I answer and tell him that I was already in the parking lot coming in. Now here's the best part: I walk in and tell him how tired he looks and how hard he looked like hes been working, acknowledging how hard he's been working. He responds while literally throwing things around and says "yeah well, if you worked here you'd look like sh*t". What a way to talk to a customer, right? Anyways, he continues to throw pens, paper, receipts, and a stapler around the counter as he's talking to me. He charged my debit the wrong amount by $5, so I tell him this and he reaches into the cash register, violently pulls out 5 singles and slams them on the counter. He grabs the receipt, walks outside to write the vin number on the receipt and slams the receipt on my windshield. I should've said something to him, but I didn't want to make matters worse. Meanwhile, my nephew is sitting in his car waiting to make sure I get on the road OK before he leaves. My nephew rolls down his window and asks me what's wrong since he obviously seen how Rob (the mechanic) was acting with his body language. We walk back inside (after he leaves the driver-side car door wide open), gives me the receipt after I signed it and walks back in the garage without even saying anything else to me. I walked out, got in my car and left. I will NEVER go back there, even if it was free!! Rob needs to be fired and I will see to it that he does.
