Dr. Alfred Kwon is a 4-year residency trained podiatrist who treats both non-surgical and surgical conditions of the foot, ankle, and lower leg. He specializes in sports medicine, trauma, and diabetic foot and ankle conditions. Dr. Kwon graduated from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine, in northeast Ohio, where he was the class vice president. Additionally, Dr. Kwon received his Bachelor’s of Science from The Ohio State University and his Master’s of Science from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. He completed his surgical training at St. Barnabas Hospital, a level 1 trauma center, in the Bronx, New York, where he was chief resident. There he trained with both podiatrists and orthopedic surgeons, receiving a well-rounded education, with additional focus on trauma and diabetic wound care. As an athlete, Dr. Kwon enjoys involvement in all sorts of sports, most notably, professional dodgeball. In 2018, he was selected as a member of United States Dodgeball’s Team USA, competing in the Dodgeball World Cup at Madison Square Garden in New York City. He also enjoys staying active with athletes of all ages. While in college and graduate school, he taught taekwondo to children. Currently he is the team physician for USA Dodgeball. Additional to dodgeball and martial arts, Dr. Kwon enjoys backpacking, running, rock climbing, and skiing. Dr. Kwon is an associate member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.
