As a consignor, the Purple Turtle is horrible. Although my items sold well, getting my money from them was always a struggle. Their policy is that you can "cash out" at any time, or if you sell more than $100 in a month, they will issue a check. The first month, I exceeded $100, but it was the middle of the following month, and I still haven't a check. I called & was told checks were issued earlier in the month. When I asked what I should do, I was told someone would call me back. Three days later, a check appeared in the mail, postmarked the day of my phone call. When I went to deposit the check, I noticed that it was not signed, nor did it have a date.

After that, I went into the store to "cash out" every 2 weeks. Each and every time, I was told there wasn't enough money in the register to give me cash. $26, $13, $37.....every single time, there wasn't enough money in the register. I got to the point where I called and found out how much I had available and told them I was coming in at a specified time and expected my money.

The other thing that didn't sit well with me was picking up unsold items. They give you a basic list that says, Talbots skirt, no color, no description, One many occasions, I couldn't find my items and they promised me they'd pull them for me the following week. That never happened. In the end, there were items that could not be located or accounted for. I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN!!!
