Two weeks ago I found on Heidi's website an adorable pup for adoption. He looked happy and healthy and I just wanted to meet him for a new companion to my other pup that had just lost a life long companion. I too had lost a true friend and just wanted to fill the void. I made my appointment and went to meet the little guy. Instantly he was interacting with me and my other pup. He was healthy and he was happy, I knew right away that he was what I was looking for. My new boy pup was right at home and has come to be a loving family member.
Process of adoption was easy and comfortable. No pressure and no misleading behavior from any of the staff. The fact that he was already tested for heartworm and neutered was an offset to the cost of adoption, as these are things that need to be considered when providing for a dependent and friend.

The adoption application is what first raised some red flags for me. This company wanted to know where I worked, my supervisors name, and number to contact the supervisor. They also wanted my drivers license number.
I looked at the contract online and saw that if we wanted a pet we had to agree to let this company come to our home and make sure it was safe and sound for a dog.
I emailed one of the foster families about a dog we were interested in and have not heard a word back in a week.
